"Divergent Series" my opinionon the books/Divergent,Insurgent,Allegiant review

Divergent is an obsession (I'm a book & movie fan). I'm glad that Veronica Roth wrote these series; because it had a great impact on me and I'm pretty amazed by her writing skills!

The first book, Divergent, is my personal favourite. It contained romantic moments between Four and Tris which one after the other developed their relationship gradually. Furthermore, it reveals the secrets that Caleb kept from his family. Also, you get to know and understand the main character, Tris, better as a person. I wasn't able to put the book aside, I was drawn to it. I never felt like I was bored and I was intrigued all the way through it due to the character development.

Insurgent was the book that I enjoyed the least; because of the slackening of the story in the first chapters. Despite that, I was amused by the changes in Tris' character and the revealing of Four's plans.

Allegiant was a great conclusion to the series. I loved every bit of it! The fact that she let's the readers decide what happens in one scene, although it's pretty obvious (I mean, come on! It definitely happened!). I'm thankful for the realistic approach she has (even if it's not very pleasant), for the fact that in all of her books not only good things happen and the relationships between the characters go through many stages.

The movies differ pretty much from the books. The movies started from being a bit different to being a lot different. There is no great problem with that but the books cover more aspects of Tris' life, have more details and events. I personally like the books much better than the movies; without meaning that the movies are bad. The story in the books is more intriguing to me and more realistic. Despite feeling that the books exceed the movies, I still appreciate and enjoy them. The fact that they are different makes the readers not being able to predict everything; increasing this way their suspense. Moreover, they create a different story which could have been a possible alternative to what happens in the books.

This is my opinion on the books and my opinion on how much the movies relate to the books.

Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree, I hope that it's respected.

Divergent Theme Park(Part3 Allegiant)

The 3rd movie of the Divergent series has came out; which means that there also is a third part of my article series "Divergent Theme Park" this time inspired by the 3rd book and movie "Allegiant".

The additional points for a theme park are:

  • Trials of the traitors
  • Rescuing Caleb
  • Climbing the wall and fighting your way out
  • Being checked for being damaged or pure and faving a tattoo that indicates it (as it is in the movie)
  • Taking up jobs in the outside world (as it is in the movies; waching over Chicago and learning how to use the weapons)
  • Living the memories of Tris' mother
  • Participating in the protest of the damage (based on the book)
  • Flying with a plane (simulator based on the movie)
  • Saving Chicago from the memory serum
Would you like a theme park like that? (Based on my "Divergent Theme Park" articles.)

P.S. This might be the last article of my series because I don't think that there are going to be more things to add depending only on the last movie.

Hope you liked the series!
