D.I.Y. Fall/Autumn 🍂 room decor 2016 (landscape window)

It's officially Fall/Autumn. Time to start decorating our rooms in a fall theme. Since school's started, you should feel extra comfortable and cozy in your bedroom in order to relax. So, I thought of a simple D.I.Y. to put you in the mood.

You'll need:
•1 pinboard/ big photo frame
•scissors ✂
•big image of a fall landscape
•tape or pins

Steps:
1) You get an image of a fall landscape that inspires you or relaxes you and trace it with pencil; in order to fit in the pinboard/ frame.

2) Cut the shape you traced off the picture and tape/ pin it on the pinboard. (I suggest taping it, so that you don't get to see the pins) If you have a photo frame, place the picture inside it. (For the frame alternative, I would prefer cutting the image a bit wider than the display of the frame. This way you won't be able to see the white background)
3) Your fall landscape window is ready! You can now hang it on the wall.

4) Plus tip: You can hang (or stick) fake orange-yellow leaves around your "window".

It's a really simple D.I.Y. but I hope that you enjoyed it and that it turned out great!

The Joker-Character analysis

Joker is a main character in Batman's movies as his main enemy. Lately, he was brought to the surface with another movie: "Suicide Squad"; which was the main reason for me to write this article.

The Joker is a psychopath villain and an expert in chemical engineering. He has teamed with other villains but sticked withhis psychiatrist, Harley Quinn, who he introduced to illegal life. He has white skin, red lips, green hair and wears suits. His physical appearance is said to be caused by falling into chemical waste. Joker sometimes uses alternated clown tricks to fight his enemies along with physical fight and usage of weapons.

Joker had a rough childhood with his father being cruel to him and abusing him for doing things wrong or even for no reason (acording to what he has confessed to his psychiatrist, Harleen Frances Quinzel). The only time he saw his father truly happy was thanks to some clowns at a circus, which may is the reason that he uses their tricks; to make people happy (or "revenge" his father) even though he is hurting thembecause this is the way he learned to treat people which contrudicts with his main reason.

Harleen met him in Arkam Asylum where she was examining him as his psychiatrist, felt sorry for him and along with that, Joker (or else mr. J) was making her fal in love with him for his manners. He started being interested in her because she cared, listened to him and her name reminded him of Harlequin, his favorite commedian. After falling for him, Harleen became a psychopath and was renamed Harley Quinn. Also, she helped him escape and became his sidekick in crime.

They developed an unhealthy romantic relathionship since he was beating her up and was being mean to her. But, his behavior may was caused by insecurity, thinking that she would leave him after examining him  and that could be the reason to change her. Moreover, he hadn't felt felt love and the only way for him to earn it was to force it (stay forever, since Harleen already loved him), which he did with Harley by making her not fit in with the others and by being brutal to her.

These are some of the main reasons that I sympathize him (without meaning that I acquit him) and I feel like he didn't have the chance to show his real intentions, because he never knew the way to do so. Let's not forget that, he is an imaginary character after all (it doesn't mean that real people cant relate to him).

P.S. It contains my personal opinion in some parts, you are free to have your own.
(I don't own the pictures)

Sia (the singer) - Opinion

Sia is a singer and song writer that decided to wear a big wig, covering her face during her appearances and not to appear in her video clips. During her "Carpool Karaoke" she said that mystery was lacking from pop industry and so, she decided to hide her face. Despite that, she didn't always wear the wig and her face can be found on Google.

She stood out with her song "Chandelier" in which video clip it was a young girl dancing that appeared. After that, Sia became more popular and her songs are well-known. Who knew that Sia wrote the lyrics for "Diamonds", sang by Rihanna?! I know, I didn't.

In my opinion, the wig is a good marketing trick (not that it is in this situation, but it could be) and it reminds me a bit of Hannah Montana (because people didn't know who she really was, but in Sia's situation we do). I would actually like it if we didn't know few singers' identities, because we would focus on their work, but again, we would try to find out out who they were. Back to Sia, I like the wig and the whole "mystery", it's unique and catchy. Moreover, her voice and songs are amazing! My current favorite is "Freeze you out" which is on repeat, daily.

This was my post on Sia. Hope you enjoyed it. Leave your opinion below...

P.S. I remind you that this is my personal opinion and it's ok not to agree with it.

This is the last post for my challenge,I did it! (Almost fail...with the previous post) I hope to keep uploading every Sunday (as much as possible). Most possibly, I'm going to upload an article next week (about a character in a movie that is now on theatres) and maybe on the second week of September too (back to school themed).

Endgame:The Calling - Book review

"Endgame:The Calling" is the first book of the trilogy "Endgame". The story is about twelve players from twelve different bloodlines who have to fight each other to death, in order to save their bloodline from the end of the world. This "game" is set by the sky people (some kind of gods) who give clues to the players in order to find the three keys that will determine the winner. The players have been trained from their predecessors how to survive in difficult situations and how to kill. All of them don't exceed the age of 20 years old.

The cover of the book is one of the best I've seen; golden with words in different languages in the background, black letters that contrast the gold colour and the symbol of endgame. The symbol is well thought. With a compass-looking circle outside, since the players get to travel a lot. An eye that probably symbolises the sky people checking the players and inside the eye are two snakes, tangled and biting each others tail in which the snakes are the players. The hardcover under that has a total black color with golden letters on the spine of the book.

The marketing of the book was well done, since not only is its cover appealing but, the book includes a riddle that whoever solves it (until December 2016) can win thousands of dollars. Moreover, it has FOUR sponsors: full fathom five, Niantic Labs, 20th Century Fox and Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. Also, it has an active website with additional content being uploaded and it's going to become a movie.

The book reminds me a lot of the "The Hunger Games'' series since there are twelve districts (not bloodlines) that fight with each other to death with the difference that every district has two representatives. In addition to this, a love triangle  similar to the Hunger Games' one takes place in Endgame: The Calling.
The story of the book was interesting but I don't think that I would get the rest of the series. The book was written by two authors: James Frey and Nils Johnson-Shelton, which may be the reason why the writing in the book is a bit poor, in my opinion. Although I didn't like the writing style, there were some pages that I think were good enough. Lastely, the development of the story was easily predictable.
All in all, I don't regret reading this book, I actually enjoyed it but, I'm not really enthusiastic about it. This is my opinion on the first book of the Endgame series.

I hope that you find it useful. Keep in mind that this is my personal opinion and I don't want anyone to adopt it unquestionably.

Celebrity Style - Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner gained great popularity as "Kylie Jenner" mostly after she got lip injections and after gaining her own audience she started landing solo carrier opportunities. She has landed her own cosmetics' line "Kylie Cosmetics" and before that she started her clothing line with her sister Kendall called "Kendall and Kylie".

It's no secret that she enjoys experimenting with her hair. She regurarly either dyes them or mostly wears a wig. She also likes to play with different lenghts.

blue
rainbow
green

blue ombre
blonde
short black
Her style could be described as tublr-y or instagram worthy since she keeps up with what is trending or she even makes things trend by wairing them on social media.

Her street style is inspiration to many teenagers and justifyingly since she is kind of always on fleek!
Her Coachella style this year was pretty unique, with statement pieces and the dutch braids in raindow colour.
A go-to outfit for her regurarly includes a bodycon dress that flatters her silhouette.
She doesn't hesitate to wear a really casual outfit and make it look like she put effort in it by adding the right accessories.
She makes an outfit stand-out by picking a special piece to wear with regular clothes.
Her sporty outfits mostly consist of leggings and a sports bra, but she sometimes chooses to wear a T-shirt.

Music/song suggestions

It's been a long time since I've talked about music. This time, I'll give you my personal suggestions.

Lately, I am into two bands and one singer. Those are: Fall Out Boy (F.O.B.), Imagine Dragons & Halsey (in preference order). The first song I've heard by F.O.B. is "Light them up" but, my favorite one is "Centuries", for both lyrics and music. I've known Imagine Dragons for quite a long time before starting listening to them on a regular basis. My favorite songs by them are: "I'm so sorry" (mostly for the music) and "Bleeding out" (in manners of lyrics). I found out about Halsey recently. I really love her style, voice and music. My favorite song of hers is "Colours".

Fall Out Boy

My random suggestions are: "Runaway" by Galantis and "I took a pill in Ibiza" by Mike Posner. If you are more of a pop listener, I suggest "Treat you better" by Shawn Mendes and Ain't your mama" by Jennifer Lopez

I hope that my suggestions appeal to you. Comment below, if you would like to know my opinion on an artist, a song, a video clip (video clip analysis) or anything and don't forget to mention which one.
Halsey

P.S. These are my personal suggestions and I don't expect everyone to like all or any of the songs/artists. I listen to more than those artists, of course.

"Divergent Series" my opinionon the books/Divergent,Insurgent,Allegiant review

Divergent is an obsession (I'm a book & movie fan). I'm glad that Veronica Roth wrote these series; because it had a great impact on me and I'm pretty amazed by her writing skills!

The first book, Divergent, is my personal favourite. It contained romantic moments between Four and Tris which one after the other developed their relationship gradually. Furthermore, it reveals the secrets that Caleb kept from his family. Also, you get to know and understand the main character, Tris, better as a person. I wasn't able to put the book aside, I was drawn to it. I never felt like I was bored and I was intrigued all the way through it due to the character development.

Insurgent was the book that I enjoyed the least; because of the slackening of the story in the first chapters. Despite that, I was amused by the changes in Tris' character and the revealing of Four's plans.

Allegiant was a great conclusion to the series. I loved every bit of it! The fact that she let's the readers decide what happens in one scene, although it's pretty obvious (I mean, come on! It definitely happened!). I'm thankful for the realistic approach she has (even if it's not very pleasant), for the fact that in all of her books not only good things happen and the relationships between the characters go through many stages.

The movies differ pretty much from the books. The movies started from being a bit different to being a lot different. There is no great problem with that but the books cover more aspects of Tris' life, have more details and events. I personally like the books much better than the movies; without meaning that the movies are bad. The story in the books is more intriguing to me and more realistic. Despite feeling that the books exceed the movies, I still appreciate and enjoy them. The fact that they are different makes the readers not being able to predict everything; increasing this way their suspense. Moreover, they create a different story which could have been a possible alternative to what happens in the books.

This is my opinion on the books and my opinion on how much the movies relate to the books.

Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree, I hope that it's respected.

Divergent Theme Park(Part3 Allegiant)

The 3rd movie of the Divergent series has came out; which means that there also is a third part of my article series "Divergent Theme Park" this time inspired by the 3rd book and movie "Allegiant".

The additional points for a theme park are:

  • Trials of the traitors
  • Rescuing Caleb
  • Climbing the wall and fighting your way out
  • Being checked for being damaged or pure and faving a tattoo that indicates it (as it is in the movie)
  • Taking up jobs in the outside world (as it is in the movies; waching over Chicago and learning how to use the weapons)
  • Living the memories of Tris' mother
  • Participating in the protest of the damage (based on the book)
  • Flying with a plane (simulator based on the movie)
  • Saving Chicago from the memory serum
Would you like a theme park like that? (Based on my "Divergent Theme Park" articles.)

My previous articles:            1st:http://teenthinkso.blogspot.gr/2014/08/divergent-theme-park.html
 2nd:http://teenthinkso.blogspot.gr/2015/07/divergent-theme-parkpart2-insurgent.html

P.S. This might be the last article of my series because I don't think that there are going to be more things to add depending only on the last movie.

Hope you liked the series!
